Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15 in 1961) was an American actor. in the television and film business, she is famous for her numerous awards and nominations. Bassett was brought up by her aunt in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Born and grew up in New York New York. Bassett relocated with her older sister St. Petersburg Florida at age five in order to be near their mother and father, who had separated from her father. Bassett was in high school when she watched James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck in the play Of Mice and Men and was aware that her goal of becoming an actor had been born. Following her graduation at Yale University New Haven Connecticut in the year 1980, she earned an undergraduate degree with a major in African American Studies, she was able to obtain an MA (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. The year 1997 was the time she got married to Courtney B. Vance who was also an actor. Qualification: B.A. In African-American Studies, 1981. Masters in Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama School.
